Letter from the President Its been Real and its been Fun – In fact it has been real fun. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me the opportunity to serve you for the past few years. We have seen many exciting changes and growth at the Greater Boston Business Council and we are looking forward to many more. On December 1, 2005, during our Annual Holiday Meeting and AFE Celebration, the membership will be presented with a Slate of Candidates for the 2006-2007 Terms of Office for the Board of Directors. I encourage you to attend our Annual Meeting and support the Slate. The Greater Boston Business Council could not be in better hands. Brenda Gailhouse, who has served as the organizations Vice President, is on the Slate as President. Chris Remmes, who oversees the Annual Boat Cruise, is on the Slate as Vice President. Tony Rich and John Cunningham will continue to serve as Secretary and Treasurer until the terms expire in 2006 and 2007. Also on the Slate is a newly created post as Chairman. I have been asked by the Board and the Slate of Candidates to serve as Chairman for the next year. The role of Chairman will allow me to reduce the amount of time and energy while still remaining active in the organization that means so much to me Together with the Board of Directors, this Management Team is poised to propel the GBBC to even greater heights in its level of value and service to its membership, sponsors and community. Brenda and I are pleased to announce Leadership roles within the GBBC for the upcoming year: Dawn Kenny-Director-at-Large, will serve as Liaison to our many Networking Groups There will be lots of exciting information on these groups and much more to follow. The GBBC has no paid employees and always welcomes your talents in assisting us in meeting the needs of our fast growing organization. To see how you talents can best be used contact President@GBBC .org See you all December 1 at the Annual Meeting/ Holiday Soiree and Awards for Excellence Celebration at the Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge.
